ASAKUSA CHERRIES ++++ A good place to see the cherry blossoms in Tokyo is along the Sumida River at Asakusa. If you can ignore the ugly elevated highway on the other side of the river, with its belching trucks, and the camps of homeless men, you can savour a reasonably idyllic experience there during the cherry blossom season.      |
