PRIMARY TOEFL TEST

There is a test for children, called the TOEFL Primary test. Test takers will be scored in ribbons for the speaking component, and stars and badges for the reading and listening components.

The speaking tests consists of 8 questions, and lasts for 20 minutes. The test taker might be asked to look at a picture and point out if there is anything strange.

The reading tests consists of multiple choice...

SPEAKING TEST

There are a total of six tasks in the Speaking Test. You need to speak into a microphone for each task. In Task 1, you have 45 seconds to speak about a familiar topic (you can choose which question you would like to answer). Elsewhere, you may be asked to describe an image, or read a text and then listen to a speech about this topic, and then speak about it.

Performance is marked from 0 to 4: if your response is generally intelligible with occasional mistakes in pronunciation and grammar, you will get a 3.

WRITING TEST

Integrated writing test: As in the Speaking Test, you need to first read a passage, and then listen to an audio recording about this topic.
